What I have learned in 25 years

As my birthday comes near I have come to reflect on all that I have learned for the past 25 years. Believe me, I have definitely learned a lot and soooooo much has changed since day one. For starters I am more independent than I was at a day old as well as my tastes in foods have certainly changed. But really though, from the day I was born to 25 years later a lot of growing has happened, but through all of it I have come to find three things I have learned.

Hustle n Hearth Styled Shoot - My full review and experience

Hi there sweet friends! I have been BEYOND excited to share these pictures and my experience at a Hustle n Hearth styled shoot! So let’s start from the beginning. I was so lucky enough to be invited personally to this mini workshop and styled shoot that I couldn’t contain my excitement as I left early Saturday morning. It was cold but not too bad in comparison to what my hometown was facing at the moment. The venue was down in Shelbyville, TN which is a little over an hour away from me so I made the trek and dare I say it was SOOOOOO worth it!

My story. Why I started and where I am going

Hi there sweet friends! For those of you who have been around for a while you know my story pretty well. For those of you who don’t welcome! We will start from the beginning. I was born and raised in south-eastern Wisconsin with the love of cheese instilled in me from day one. :) I have always been a creative person, in my family on both sides I am referred to as the artist. I always was creating an art project or had a brilliant creative idea. I took honors arts classes all through high school but those classes were not where photography came into play for me. It started to come into play when I was a senior in high school. Like any other senior, I went and had my senior pictures taken. Thinking that it was be like any other photography studio experience I didn’t think much of it. It was excited to be showing my personality. And that it when I got let down. This particular studio had a rotation of photographers so I didn’t get the one that I vibed with before. This one was AWFUL. She wasn’t sure of herself, she kept saying “umm” and making take my glasses off which at the time was what I wore everyday. By the end of the session I was frustrated and disappointed. We looked back at the photos and all my dad could say was that it didn’t look like me. Needless to say I was embarrassed of those pictures. So much so that we didn’t use them for the yearbook. My mom took a picture of me on our driveway before a family wedding. This is not at all to make you feel bad about my experience, this story is what eventually inspired me to pursue this career!

Learn something new with year with Audible

Hey there friends! I don’t know about you but in this new year I’m inspired to learn. If you don’t already know, last year I focused my year on a single word which was “LEARN”. (If you didn’t know that make sure you follow me on Instagram!) This year however, my word of the year is “GROW” which relates a lot to learn. You need to learn in order to grow and I’m taking everything I have learned last year and I am implementing it into my business this year. However, that doesn’t mean I stop learning! I have always believed in being a forever learner. I have mentioned before in previous posts how much I love podcasts, YouTube videos and reading lots and LOTS of books! There are so many resources out there for you to dive into and learn. The possibilities are endless! Unfortunately for most of us, we are so busy that we really don’t have time to sit and read a book or even watch a YouTube video in some cases. That is why I’m so happy to share Audible with you! (#ad)

Blue Apron Review

For the past two weeks I have been trying out Blue Apron! It's been honestly really fun. I get to try out new recipes and taste new things that I normally wouldn't try! Since the holidays are around the corner and I will be traveling very soon I thought what better time to try! Blue Apron is great for couples or for the whole family! they have options per how many people you will be feeding. I choose the three meals a week but you can also go two to two. Before each week’s meals are delivered you get to choose what meals sound best to you! They everything is prepackaged and delivered right to your door. It honestly, worked out really well. They only things you need to have is the tools, salt, pepper and olive oil which is all what most people have anyway.
