Julia and Zach's Milwaukee Zoo Wedding
On a chilly morning of September 29th, I exactly drove to St. Elizabethan Church in New Berlin. I couldn’t have been more ecstatic to photograph this wedding. Julia has been a friend of mine for almost five years; we were camp counselors together through college and we had field trips every summer at the zoo. It really came full circle to be able to capture her wedding and be a part of their special day.
This day couldn’t have been more tailored to them. From the sign language performed during the ceremony to the little animals on each of the name cards, this wedding was filled of little personal touches. It was amazing to watch one of my good friends marry the man she has been in love with for so long. I have been able to watch their relationship grow over the years while working with Julia and it was an honor to be their photographer.
One of the coolest things at this wedding was to be able to walk through out the Milwaukee County Zoo after it closed. (It was still light out don’t worry.) We had the whole place to your selves. We could get some amazing pictures at locations in the Zoo that would normally be very crowded. This made exploring the Zoo that much more fun.
After everyone ate and had some AMAZING ombre red cake from Sweet Spot Bakehouse in Whitewater, (You NEED to check them out!) we all danced the night away. Julia and Zach has a soothing jazz band which brought everyone on the dance floor.
Check out some of my favorite shots from their day below!
