Hustle n Hearth Styled Shoot - My full review and experience
Hi there sweet friends! I have been BEYOND excited to share these pictures and my experience at a Hustle n Hearth styled shoot! So let’s start from the beginning. I was so lucky enough to be invited personally to this mini workshop and styled shoot that I couldn’t contain my excitement as I left early Saturday morning. It was cold but not too bad in comparison to what my hometown was facing at the moment. The venue was down in Shelbyville, TN which is a little over an hour away from me so I made the trek and dare I say it was SOOOOOO worth it!
Upon arriving at the farm I was completely blow away with its beauty. It was like it was out of a magazine! There were only six other photographers including myself and a lead photographer, Mahlia from Ivy Door Studio, that was checking in with each group as well as shooting with us. It was awesome to be able to have such small groups so that we can all get to know one another as well as not feel that we can’t get the shot we wanted. We were split into groups of three which made it super fun and easy to work with! Not overwhelming at all like some styled shoots can be with 20+ photographers. We rotated between different stations and models through out the day. Mahlia was always there checking-in, giving tips as well as how much time we had left to shoot at a certain station. She also had a wide variety of different tools like video lights, blue lights, fractals and so much more to use and experiment with to see if you wanted to invest in it for yourself! That was super helpful and really cool because I have no idea what fractals were and now….I want them.
The theme of this shoot was “Love is Sweet” so here were sweets, candy, cakes, coffee drinks and even cotton candy EVERYWHERE! It was like out of a movie! It was absolutely incredible what Hustle n Hearth was able to put together with all these amazing vendors. Everyone was beyond grateful and so great to worth with that I would recommend them over and over again. (I will list everyone involved below)
We then moved outside where there was a long table of cakes, donuts, treats as well as a cotton candy station. How cool right??! With each different location we moved to on the property I was blown away. I didn’t even think it was real to the point where I said out loud “This is unreal!”, needless to say I hope I get to photograph another wedding here! Any who, from the horses to the waterfall meadow garden ceremony venue and even the cute little chapel, it was an unforgettable experience and I will definitely be going to another Hustle n Hearth event when I can! This was a great way for me to make some connections to industry leaders in this area! I HIGHLY recommend any photographer to attend one of their events. You will NOT be disappointed, and who knows, you might see me there too! Click here to see all the events Hustle n Hearth has coming up!
