For the past two weeks I have been trying out Blue Apron! It's been honestly really fun. I get to try out new recipes and taste new things that I normally wouldn't try! Since the holidays are around the corner and I will be traveling very soon I thought what better time to try! Blue Apron is great for couples or for the whole family! they have options per how many people you will be feeding. I choose the three meals a week but you can also go two to two. Before each week’s meals are delivered you get to choose what meals sound best to you! They everything is prepackaged and delivered right to your door. It honestly, worked out really well. They only things you need to have is the tools, salt, pepper and olive oil which is all what most people have anyway.

Before I even got my first box, I was sent an email about a certain spice blend that was to be included in my package. Blue Apron explained that it was a mistake on their part for including it but it will still go great with the dish. And boy were they right! They didn’t have to email me about that but I really appreciated the time they took to make sure you knew exactly what you were getting. They also have a terrific customer service line that you can call whenever you run into trouble cooking.

I think their mobile app is the best feature. You can select your meals from it, track your package, get in touch with customer service, rate your meals and more! They even have their own store that you can purchase their special spice blends, utensils, pots, pans and more. A perfect gift for anyone!

Once you are ready to cook the recipe card will lead you step by step through everything. For a lot of these recipes it helps when you have someone else helping you in the kitchen. There can be a lot of things you need to keep track of at once so it’s much easier to divide and conquer! Everything is labeled really well so you know exactly which ingredients are for each dish. But the best part is, as you are cooking you have control of how much salt is put in something, spices, butter, etc. It’s all up to you!

Once you are done with your meal, it is pretty rewarding to see what you created. A lot of these meals I wouldn’t have thought up myself so it was pretty cool to have created such a fancy meal! Plus you can keep the recipe card so you can make everything again! There were a lot of the recipes that just below me away with how good they were. Below you can see some of my favorites :)
