Burlington Fall Wedding

I had the most wonderful opportunity to be the second photographer along side Brittney Mangold Photography. (Go check her out if you are in the Burlington area!) We got to capture the beautiful wedding of Lauren and Vaughn. These love birds have actually been in each other’s lives since second grade. There was a picture they had displayed of the two of them in the same first communion class. They had no idea that each other was in that same class! Small world, but the stars aligned and brought them together when they got to high school.

Madelynn's Waterfall Senior Session

After several days of rain I got to capture this ray of sunshine! Madelynn was such a joy to work with and we made the best of our very mosquito-y situation. She is a senior at Franklin High School and is looking to pursue Chemistry in college. All the props to her because science was definitely NOT my strong suit. That’s why I went for art. Madelynn rocked her session with such grace and happiness I would have loved her session to go on even longer! Too bad that we were loosing daylight and we arrived at the end of the session.

Vanessa Jordan Photography Branding Packages

Hey there friends! I wanted to write this blog post because, if you haven't noticed two weeks ago I launched my branding packages in my shop and I want to talk a little bit about them! First off if you don't already know, I am a full-time graphic designer and I wanted to share that side of me with you. Something that has been brought to my attention, is how hard it is to create your own branding, create your logo, know what colors to use, know what’s going to look right and just know the tips and tricks that a graphic designer would know but, a small business owner really wouldn’t know. I created these branding packages in hopes that they will help you and they will give you kind of a jump start on your branding experience. So for example, one of the branding packages I have is called AB Modern. It's a very modern style, very minimalist, black and white and can really be used for pretty much any business.

Top Five Podcasts for Entrepreneurs

I don't know about you but I LOVE podcasts. I believe in being a forever student and that you can always be learning. Podcasts are a great way to do that.

My Parent's Portrait Session at Historical Site

As most photographers know well, when you announce to the world that you are a professional photographer and that you are open for business, family and friends come flocking. They want you to take pictures of EVERYTHING. This can be a great learning experience but I personally just love to take pictures of my family. As I have been making my rounds to each family of my extended family, I had a moment of shock when I realized that I haven’t had a chance to give my parents a session. Clearly, this needed to be addressed as soon as possible. Thinking back, the last time they probably had professional pictures taken of them was on their wedding day. They were certainly due for some professional pictures taken by their daughter no less.

The Hope Taylor Nashville Alumni Retreat Recap

I have so many words to say about this retreat that I don't know where to start! I guess a good place to start is at the beginning. Going to a retreat like this has always been a dream of mine and it just never seemed like the time was right or if it was going to work out. You can always be learning something to make yourself or in this case, your business better! This retreat couldn't have worked out at a better time for me to attend. I have always wanted to travel back to Nashville since I have been there before and I wanted to see what was planned and in store!
