Hey there friend! I'm so excited that you are interested in the Vanessa Jordan Family Experience! Below you will find recently asked questions, package information and all that you would need to know about booking your family session with Vanessa Jordan Photography!
1. Booking and planning
The full amount is due upon signing your contract for your family session. This is to lock in your date and get all the business taken care of and out of the way. Once that is taken care of we will start planning the perfect location for your family session.
2. your session
The day has arrived! It's time for your family session! We will start off the session by meeting on location or at home if you choose that. We will chat a bit and discuss what you would love to capture during your session. Do you want pictures of just your kids or everyone? etc. I will walk you through each pose so you and your family are comfortable and confident in front of the camera!
3. social media sneak peak
The next day I will share a sneak peak on social media from your session so you can see and share! You can expect your online gallery to be delivered two weeks after your session.
Two weeks after you family session your online gallery will be delivered! In this gallery you can easily download, share and print your fully edited, high-resolution photos. You will even have access to your gallery on your phone so you can share you photos wherever you go! Your gallery is backed up for THREE years online so you won't have to worry about loosing your images!
4. gallery delivery
This session includes 1 hour of shooting time, 60+ fully edited images and an online gallery where you can download, share and print your high resolution images. It also includes a choice to have this session at home or on location. That way everyone can be comfortable and we can work with your family's schedule!

1. how to I pay for my family session?
You are able to pay and sign the contract completely online. I will send you your proposal and you will be able to sign and pay all at once.
2. Do you provide payment plans?
Yes I do, but only upon request. The full amount must still be paid before the session. If you are doing a payment plan I will set up a schedule to be easily reminded through my online service I use called Honeybook. You will be able to pay each payment easily.
3. When do you schedule your family sessions?
I schedule my family sessions Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. This is so we can capture these photos just as the sun is setting or so the sun isn't too high in the sky for those morning session to create some stunning images.
4. How does my online gallery work?
I will send you a link and password to access your gallery once it is ready. You will enter the password and will be able to view all the images. There will be an icon in the upper right hand corner that will let your download all of the images as well as an icon that will set you share individual photos on social media.
5. Do your packages include prints?
My packages do not include prints. However, on your online gallery there is an option to purchase prints through Pixiset which is where I house your gallery. This is completely optional but it is there if this is easiest for you. Otherwise you may get your images printed anywhere you please but I cannot guarantee the quality of the print if you get your photos printed other than from your online gallery.
6. What if I am late to my session?
If you are late you do not get extra time. When the sun goes down and there is no more light, we cannot keep shooting. For the morning sessions even though we will have more light, you are only allotted the exact time we agreed upon. Please afford an extra 10 minutes to arrive at our meeting location to ensure that you are on time.
7. When should I expect my online gallery?
You will receive your online gallery about two weeks after your session.
8. How many images will I receive in my online gallery?
You will receive about 60-80 images in your gallery.
9. How long does my online gallery last?
Your gallery will last three years. Please insure that you download your images and save them in a safe place because you will want to go back and look at them! You do have your gallery for three years but once that expires, the gallery will be gone.
10. who can i bring to my family session?
Anyone you wish! However, the number of people attending is discussed and agreed on upon booking. I then set a specific amount of time to the session due to the amount of people that are arriving, especially with younger kids whom may need more attention. With that being said you cannot add more family members after booking. Make sure you know exactly who is attended and who you would like to attend upon booking. Overestimate the number of family members than underestimate, this makes planning for the perfect moments to capture so much easier!
11. How many outfits can I bring?
If you have a two hour session you may have a second outfit to change into. However, with younger kids I would advise to have layers for them to easily change in and out of like a jacket, sweater, etc. That way not much time is taken away from your session by changing outfits.
12. Can I post behind the scenes during the session?
Yes you may! I will doing so as well so feel free to post as much of your experience as you wish!
13. what if someone gets sick before the session?
If someone gets sick please alert me 24 hours in advance if possible and we can reschedule or cancel your session. However, we can only reschedule your session once. If you miss the rescheduled session you will not get a refund. If you choose to cancel your session you will receive half of your payment for the session.
I'm ready to book! How do I get things started?
In order to secure your date, the full payment is due up front as a retainer along with a signed contract. All paperwork can be done online for your convenience! Please reply to the email that had this link to move forward in your booking process!
